Ira Johns is a veteran attorney with extensive experience in all aspects of workers' compensation law, having practiced in the field since 2000. Prior to joining Goldman, Magdalin, Straatsma, LLP, he represented both applicants and defendants in workers' compensation matters. Throughout his career, Mr. Johns has served as an author, speaker, trainer, and mentor to professionals in the workers' compensation community.
Before focusing on workers' compensation law, Mr. Johns practiced as a civil trial and appellate attorney. Originally from the Midwest, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. After relocating to California, he received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in 1977.
Mr. Johns is a longtime member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
