Donna L. Lineberry is a Senior Attorney in the firm’s Orange County office, where she represents employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, from discovery and deposition through trial and settlement.
She brings an uncommon background to that work. A Certified Public Accountant licensed in California, she began her career with a North Carolina accounting firm before moving to Jacksonville, Florida, to join Coopers & Lybrand as a Senior Staff Auditor - at the time one of the “Big Six” international accounting firms, now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Her accounting background provides her with a unique understanding of an employer’s perspective, including the business realities behind every worker’s compensation claim.
Ms. Lineberry graduated from Chapman University School of Law and then gained extensive trial experience as a Deputy Public Defender in Orange County, representing adults and juveniles in matters ranging from misdemeanors to serious and violent felonies. She then turned to workers’ compensation defense.
In her spare time, Ms. Lineberry works on restoring her 1923 Craftsman bungalow, fosters rescue cats, and enjoys exploring the latest developments in artificial intelligence.
