Retirement Announcement

We are pleased for Deborah and sorry for GMK to announce that after 42 years in practice, Ms. Winer will be retiring from the practice of law on December 31, 2018.

After several years in criminal defense with over 50 jury trials to verdict, Deborah spent the next 25 years representing individual and commercial clients, employers, self-insureds, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in civil litigation and trials, primarily insurance defense. By the time she came to GMK in 2004 Deborah was one our most experienced and accomplished attorneys and she has been an asset to the firm ever since.

Debbie’s acuity in statutory and factual analysis, her masterful use of the discovery process combined with an ability to “think outside the box” to resolve issues and settle cases made her a fierce advocate for our clients and a valuable resource for all of us at GMK.

And so we hope that after she spends some time sleeping late and binge-watching Game of Thrones she will be unbearably bored and will unretire and come back to GMK, Of Counsel at least, and share the future with us. Our fingers are crossed.

If not then we hope that Debbie’s future is filled with good health, great fun, time with family and friends and a chance to do all of the wonderful things that she has looked forward to for many years. Good luck, Debbie, we wish you all the best!
